In memory of Nora Yesenia Villanueva Campanor

Her voice didn't end.
It became an anthem.

A nonprofit carrying Nora's story into real reform, raised in her honor for the two children she loved most.

"We started this to clear her name. It grew into something bigger: making sure what happened to Nora can't happen to someone else."

Clearing her name

The record, set right

Nora's story has been covered by the Los Angeles Times and Inside Edition. We're working with reporters, a family attorney, and the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office to make sure the full account of what happened to Nora is on the public record, not just a headline.

Reform, not just remembrance

Changing what comes next

We're partnering with California State Senator Susan Rubio on SB 871, which would bring GPS monitoring to restraining order enforcement. A protective order on paper should mean protection in practice. That's the standard we're working toward.

Standing behind SB 871

What the bill does

SB 871, authored by California State Senator Susan Rubio, would require GPS monitoring for certain restraining order violations, closing the gap between a protective order being issued and it actually being enforced.

Why it's personal

A restraining order meant to protect Nora existed on paper. Enforcement is where it broke down. Nora's Anthem is working directly with Senator Rubio's office to build the public case for SB 871 and push it through the legislature.

Nora was a mother first. Her two children are being raised by their aunt Jazmin and her husband Angel, who started Nora's Anthem to carry her memory forward and make sure her name opens doors for other families instead of closing them.
